Oh man, what to say about this sweet family? For one, I appreciate their flexibility and understanding when I wasn’t feeling well the day before their session. If I’m feeling unwell, I ALWAYS let my newborn clients know immediately so that we can make accommodations so as to not get the baby sick. We wound up doing this session the morning of Christmas eve since that’s what they had available for a reschedule, and I made it work! It was lovely to fit in one last session before the new year, and I can’t imagine a better family to have spent it with. Mom and Dad were so sweet and hospitable and I LOVED how many ideas dad wanted to personalize his FIRST son’s session with! It was so heartwarming to see. Mom had prepped me beforehand with some sample images of some posing she wanted so that I could bring matching items. Dad loves to hunt, so we incorporated antlers from his personal collection. Dad also played baseball which we incorporated as well. I absolutely love doing creative sessions and I love collaborating with my families to bring their visions to life! This in-home session took a little longer than usual because of the heavier posing I don’t typically do, but boy was it worth it!! That’s why I don’t put time limits on my newborn sessions- getting the right shots is the most important to me!
I also HAD to ask if mom was an interior designer, since their house looked straight out of a magazine! She isn’t, though she is clearly incredibly talented in that area. They had a beautiful wooden bench I was able to turn on it’s side and use as a backdrop for some of the baseball shots. The glove in those shots is an heirloom as well. Baby Pace is so treasured and I’m sure he has a very lucrative sporting career ahead! And look at those adoring sisters…oh my goodness he’s going to be spoiled! Congratulations, you guys! Thank you again for not only letting me be a part of this special time in your life, but your Christmas holiday as well!
